The Standing Subcommittee on Copyright Policy (SSCP) is a subcommittee of the Systemwide Library and Scholarly Information Advisory Committee (SLASIAC). The Subcommittee is specifically charged with the development and maintenance of copyright-related UC policies. The Subcommittee is also expected to:
- Advise on initiating new policies and revising (or rescinding) old ones,
- Advise on any copyright-related aspects of the scholarly information issues that come before the parent committee,
- Identify and explore academic copyright-related issues that the subcommittee feels should be brought to SLASIAC for further discussion, and
- Be involved in dissemination of copyright information and the consultative work of the UC Copyright Education Website
